Bankstown Lunar New Year
Cancelled

Join us as we celebrate Bankstown Lunar New Year!

Saturday 18 January 2025

EVENT UPDATE

Due to extreme wind gusts in Bankstown, the decision has been made by Council to CANCEL today's Bankstown Lunar New Year celebration.

Looking for other Lunar New Year celebrations? The Campsie Lantern Festival will return on Saturday 8 February at Anzac Mall and Anzac Park, Campsie. We hope to see you there! Visit https://wih.city/CampsieLanternFestival for the full details.

We apologise for any inconvenience and wish you a Happy Lunar New Year.

Join the celebrations with live entertainment, lucky envelopes from the God and Goddess of Good Fortune, a dragon dance parade, lion dancing, Chinese firecrackers plus more!

Try out the food, enjoy the entertainment and experience the culture. There’s so much to see in the Lunar New Year Garden, including live entertainment on the New Year Stage, bonsai and calligraphy. Plus try out your own singing skills at karaoke, featuring songs in a range of languages.

Road closures will be in place around Olympic Parade from 8am on Saturday 18 January until midnight on Sunday 19 January. Please follow directions for road detours.
