Meals on Wheels

Bankstown Meals on Wheels began in 1966 with 16 clients. Today, the service delivers around 32,000 meals a year.

Mental Health & Wellbeing

People with disability

People with disability are active and valued in our community. We are improving accessibility and creating opportunities for employment and economic participation in liveable communities.

Domestic and family violence

The City of Canterbury Bankstown has a Domestic Violence Liaison Committee working for our community, providing services to women, children or families where domestic violence is identified. 

Community Grants Program

This program provides financial support to assist local community-based organisations with their activities.

ClubGRANTS Category 1 funding

The ClubGRANTS Scheme is a state-wide initiative allowing registered clubs to apply a percentage of gaming machine revenue to specific community development and support projects

Events Partnership Program

The Events Partnership Program (EPP) offers funding and support to events which have the potential to grow into major annual events in the City of Canterbury Bankstown

CommUNITY Connect

The 2025 Canterbury-Bankstown CommUNITY Connect for local government and non-government community organisations was held over two days, 25-26 February 2025

Racism Not Welcome

On 23 March 2021, the City of Canterbury Bankstown endorsed the #RacismNotWelcome campaign.
