The City of Canterbury Bankstown acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land, water and skies of Canterbury-Bankstown, the Darug (Darag, Dharug, Daruk, Dharuk) People.  We recognise and respect Darug cultural heritage, beliefs and relationship with the land. We acknowledge the First Peoples’ continuing importance to our Canterbury-Bankstown community.

Seniors Hub

Almost a quarter of residents living in the City of Canterbury Bankstown are 55 years old or greater. These residents are an integral and essential part of our community and it should be recognised that enjoying a valued role as well as a meaningful life in our community as we grow older is something that everyone should be able to aspire to.

Volunteering

In all great communities, volunteering is a crucial part of daily life. In Canterbury Bankstown, our volunteers give their time to help others, but they also gain from the experience, especially in building new friendships and learning new skills.

Facilitated by BCRG, the Guring Gang supported playgroup is for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children aged 0-5 and their families. 

Thursdays, 10am-noon, during school term, run for 8 weeks starting from week 2.
