Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre
From 1 September until 31 October, Bankstown Library will be open until 9pm on Wednesdays to all 2025 HSC students. Student ID card is required for entry.
As the biggest of our branches, Bankstown Library and Knowledge Centre's extensive collection stretches over three floors. It also hosts our Local History collection and research room, and boasts multiple study areas, a reading garden, a PC training room and our largest children's area. Access is easy with four hours of free parking in the basement and a passenger lift serving all floors. It's a hub for library programs and events-there's always something going on at Bankstown Library!
Bankstown Library was designed by internationally renowned architect, Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp (FJMT) as a community facility which meets the current and future needs of our growing city. Special features include sustainability initiatives like improved performance lighting, an efficient air conditioning system and our unique in-library Green Wall which uses the natural filtering properties of plants for unique air quality system.
