Love Earlwood – Meet you at the Plateia Festival road closures and permits

The City of Canterbury Bankstown is hosting a vibrant three-year festival that will transform the heart of Earlwood into a celebration of cultural diversity, with a focus on Greek and Mediterranean heritage.

The first event, Love Earlwood – Meet You at the Plateia Festival, will take place on Saturday 20 September 2025, from 11am-4pm on Clarke Street, Earlwood. Proudly funded by the NSW Government’s Open Streets Program and led by Transport for NSW, the festival aims to showcase the unique spirit of the local community.

The event is expected to bring significant benefits to local businesses by attracting more visitors to the area. The event’s traffic impacts are considered manageable, given the potential economic and community advantages it offers.
