Library membership is free and you can even join online. Next time you visit the library, bring your photo ID and proof of name and address to receive your library card.

​​​​​​​​​​​​Under Council's Library Services Policy, which came into effect on 1 July 2018, parents/guardians of children under 12 years of age must remain on library premises. Anyone under 16 years of age must have a parent authority to join the library. For more details, download our Library Services Policy.

Lost cards can be physically replaced at a cost of $5 with photo ID/ proof of name and address OR download our FREE Library app onto your phone/device, log-in to your member account, then you can save your library card on your phone/personal device for FREE! Download now cb.city/LibraryApp

24-hour return facilities are available at Campsie, Bankstown, Riverwood and Chester Hill Library and Knowledge Centres. An after-hours return chute is available at Lakemba Library and Knowledge Centre.
